Tommy just posted a new blog entry, but since he never updates the English version of his site (bad Tommy! *spank spank!*), I'm offering my shabby translation of the entry here. :D Apparently the doctor is having him take precautions re. the foot issues he was talking about last month. Also, whoever runs Tommy's website doesn't seem to know how to link the full-sized versions of Tommy's blog photos to the thumbnail photos displayed in the blog, so I've posted them here as well:

Blog - Miami, 20 March 2007

Hey all,

Once I was finished at Indian Wells I have twelve days before I have to play in Miami, so we did a mini training routine to get to the next tournament in top form. (Coach) Pepo and I rented bicycles and did three days on the road in the desert of Indian Wells. The truth is that in three days we did more than 150 kilometers, so it was good physical training to replace the running since the doctor is not letting me do that yet as a precaution.

(Pepo!)

Later on the weekend we went to Los Angeles, where we have friends who took to us out to dinner every day in trendy areas of the city and managed to have us be able to train in a beautiful house with Fernando Verdasco, who was also there. The house is a mansion located at the top of Hollywood and was valued at thirty million dollars. So imagine what a fantastic house that was...

On Sunday evening we rode the plane and are already in Miami, where we've rented a house in Key Biscayne next to the tennis so that we can be more comfortable!

(Pepo again!)

Today they said to me that I will not play until Saturday, so we will be training hard these next few days so that things go well, as I really want to do well in this last tournament on a fast court before returning to Europe and the lovely red clay!

Good day and I'll be reporting again to you all. I hope you like the pictures I've sent!

Also, here's a look at Tommy's quarter of the draw in Miami:

(1)FEDERER vs. BYE
ANDREEV vs. (WC)QUERREY
(WC)KUZNETSOV vs. STARACE
BYE vs. (29)ALMAGRO

(19)FERRERO vs. BYE
HENMAN vs. (Q)CAÑAS
VERKERK vs. GROSJEAN
BYE vs. (15)GASQUET

(9)HAAS vs. BYE
ROITMAN vs. KOHLSCHREIBER
RAMIREZ HIDALGO vs. GAUDIO
BYE vs. (24)STEPANEK

VERDASCO vs. BYE
KUNITSYN vs. MAYER
(Q)KIM vs. BECKER
BYE vs. (6)ROBREDO

... Not a very nice draw for Tommy; if he makes it to the fourth round he will most likely face Haas, who has been in amazing form, and past that Federer waits in the quarterfinals. :O Plus Verdasco and Mayer can be dangerous on hard courts as well. But as long as he wins even just one match he'll gain points from last year - so he can only go up! ;) Good luck, Tommy! <3
