Well, the Davis Cup quarterfinal tie in Winston-Salem, North Carolina wasn't exactly the greatest thing for España - you had a super-fast court and Top 10 players Andy Roddick and James Blake in front of their home crowd, so Spain was definitely an underdog. Unfortunately Spain lost 1-4, but the positive for Tommy was that he won the single point for Spain, even if it was a dead rubber. He defeated doubles #1 Bob Bryan 6-4 6-4.

Tommy lost his first match to Blake, but at least we got this picture to cheer us up:

Robutto :D

Tommy: "What's my motivation for this match? :\"
Emilio: "If you win this match, I'll go out with you. :D"
Tommy: ":O ... No, really, give me some motivation."
Emilio: "Please? :\"
Tommy: "... No. :O"

Tommy: "I already said no, Emilio, go away." XD

Next up for Tommy is the Monte Carlo Masters! (Here's the draw.) He has a bye in the first round and will be facing Arnaud Clement (FRA) in the second round. If he makes it to the quarterfinal, he will most likely be facing Nikolay Davydenko (RUS). Good luck, Tommy!

P.S. As kiwirazzi mentioned in the previous post, Tommy is also blogging from Monte Carlo! Make sure to check it out! :D
